Newark Mayor, a democratically elected official, is reportedly being held by ICE in a black site hanger. ICE does not have the legal power to arrest US citizens, but was given the political power by Congress when the GOP refused to ratify a bill specifically saying ICE can’t detain or deport US Citizens. They’re sending a message: ICE does not care about the law.
