Just imagine paying anyone more than Shohei.
I legit thought he’d sign for $550-600 million. I forgot that his agent is only ever interested in squeezing every penny out of a contract that he can and how he uses some owners just to drive up the market :pachaha:. Cohen is a fan of the team he owns so he’s been fielding for a parade. 39 years and counting so he’s more than willing to spend it.

It’s nuts to me that he got that much when he might be a DH for 7-8+ years of that contract.

:mjgrin::mjgrin::mjgrin:
The inverse of his 2024 opening day with the go ahead RBI single and throwing the tying run out at home in the bottom of the 9th.

Shohei is a f**king icon. He's the type you build a monument around and display his memorabilia like a museum. Whatever LA paid, they will get their money back because Ohtani had one of the greatest baseball seasons in a Dodgers jersey.

:russell:Soto's contract doesn't stop the Mets from pursuing anybody in the future

This isn't an A-Rod/Texas situation
