so let me get this right, folks say Lebron has no flare nor creativity to his dunks, only does a simple tomahawk dunk, is an in game dunker, etc yet he is responsible for singlehandedly ruining the dunk contest even though its been some entertaining dunk contests since his arrival in the league. The bottom line with the dunk contest is that we've seen damn near every dunk possible. Windmill, free throw line, double pumps, East Bay Funk Dunk, reverse clutch, 360, etc. The props are the main attraction now. I used to be of that mindset too, but when you actually look at the people participating in the past 10 or so years there have been big names that participated in the contest ie: John Wall, Paul George, Giannis, Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell, and I'm sure a few more I'm missing. nikkas get on here and regurgitate First Take because they don't watch the shyt, which I don't blame you if you don't, but don't just straight up lie. How amazing would it be if ant-man and Ja (who I think would win) were competing against each other in a dunk contest. NBA players are far less competitive than they used to be. Before you couldn’t call yourself a top dunker if you ain’t compete in it . (MJ/ Wilkins/ Kobe/ T-Mac / Vince)… I agree with people that after LeBron refused to do it, everybody else felt it lost meaning. He my 2nd favorite player of all time. I’m not hating. People try to argue this but literally think about the progression of the contest as it had less and lesser stars as time went on. It’s momentum was based on that . See you favorite star compete against each other in the dunk contest. But it used to seem like a requirement, but then all the top stars said yes whatever outside Dwight and Blake (2 hall of famers, but they not same level as Kobe/ MJ / LeBron type stars … now nobody does the shyt that’s even A STAR..
