Could argue that it did come in 2022 when they won 11 gamesYes but that bounce should be in the first two seasons especially at a place like USC.

Yikes, at least Clay Helton won the Rose Bowl and finished top 5With a B1G schedule.
Next year they got:
LSU, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, Notre Dame and UCLA on the schedule.
Breaking in a new qb.![]()

Clay may not be a top notch head coach, but I think USC's problems were deeper than just him.Yikes, at least Clay Helton won the Rose Bowl and finished top 5![]()
I agree it's not a good look for him. Thinks are looking bleak. It's just a matter of principle to see what a program looks like at year 3 or 4 for me to see how a coach is doing, barring some extraordinary circumstances like finishing with 0-1 wins or something crazy like that.
I think his 19th ranked recruiting class is the most damning facet of his future now. He's got a new qb and a tougher schedule coming up.
Plus I think Bohn, the AD who hired him, isn't at USC anymore. New AD might throw him into the bushes if he doesn't shape up quick.
He was the coach in 2021?Could argue that it did come in 2021 when they won 11 games

They moved mountains to bring Riley in and I believe they got him a big house along with the big contract. I'm not sure but are they still paying Clay Helton? Get rid of Riley and how much does he still owe on his contract? Not asking you personally just wondering. One reason they kept Clay Helton in as coach for so long is because they had lawsuits to pay out and they were renovating The Coliseum which all cost millions upon millions of dollars. Buyout Lincoln for god knows how much then try to bring in another "big name/hype master" that cost more millions-- and if he doesn't turn it around, then what? This sh*t is getting tricky. If I'm USC and I'm getting rid of Riley I'm cutting straight to the chase and getting Urban Meyer if his health is legit. They need an absolute sure thing after RileyI agree it's not a good look for him. Thinks are looking bleak. Thing is with Urban, if USC's AD isn't willing to go all in on buying players and bending the rules, he's not going to go there imo. They moved mountains to bring Riley in and I believe they got him a big house along with the big contract. It would be different if he did this after the recruiting season.
It's OK. Us OU heads are circling the wagons. I'm going to New England this Thursday full on in OU gear to support my boy's son and do my part of getting him there. He outplayed that Malachi kid who decommitted years back and for the past three years his father said that kid has no heart after coaching him for a week.

Hes soft. Chopping it up with Pop Watson dad right now who said the kid was way too overhyped and cowers when hes hit.Wild. Although I think getting rid of Grinch is def the right move.
Grinch caused you to miss out on Caleb's winning potential , just like Mike Stoops caused you to miss out on Baker and Kylers potential.
Something still feels off about him out there though, and Nelson not being able to crack a starting role and transferring is proof.
@Silkk @Trojan 24 yall niqqas might not win a game in the big ten next year fukking
