I wouldn't do it if I were him. He's a god at Clemson. And until FSU, Miami gets their shyt together, it's an easier path to the playoff as long as they don't lose more than 1 game and win the ACC.

OU has been in the playoffs though like 4 of the 6 years and always in the mix. 98% of schools would EASILY take that.

98% would but 99.9% of schools aint paying 15ms a year.
So he gotta win rings. Making the playoffs and getting bounced every year aint gon cut it when they paying you that much. They can save 6-7 million a year to pay someone else to get that in a weak conference.
Gotta remember they'll get a ton of favoritism in every poll and ranking cause the powers that be busting dollar sign shaped nuts () to have usc and LA in the fold. So a 1 loss usc gon be in. Hes basically almost guaranteed a playoff spot every year.
Not saying he'd be on the hot seat but if he getting there and not winning rings after doing the same thing for years at OU there will be rumblings from the peanut gallery and they'll be "you're paying for a coach that has never in his career won when it mattered most"

He’s the greatest coach in Clemson history and calls all the shots. Makes absolutely zero sense to leave for any other job. His ties to Bama are a bit overrated.

Gettin an alum or guy with ties is the most overrated factor when it comes to looking for a coach.
Dabo gon get the offer cause he'll just have to sustain it (hopefully) but by then it'll be so much new blood in cfb we might offer some up and coming brotha to be the guy

kinda agree, but getting them to the playoffs will probably make them feel justified in what they are paying.

Why should they? Schools usually don’t wait a second after the final game to fire them. It’s a business. The sooner folks realize that, the sooner this will all make sense (npi). Take emotion out of it. I came to grips with it when Jimbo left. Just the nature of the beast now
