Why should they? Schools usually don’t wait a second after the final game to fire them. It’s a business. The sooner folks realize that, the sooner this will all make sense (npi). Take emotion out of it. I came to grips with it when Jimbo left. Just the nature of the beast now
Yes, it is business as you get paid to coach but the 18-21 year olds still have to play for you for that last game or two...

As long as Saban there... :francis:

But the minute he retires.... rest of the league will be :blessed:

Question is who takes that job afterwards? Never wanna be the guy following the guy. They'd make an all out assault for Dabo I assume right @portcityplaya ???

The talent that Linc can keep at home in SoCal alone on defense will have him better. This could get ugly esp the defense becomes good. That will be the key.

Dabo would be a mistake….I want Cristobal or Kiffin

They’re not beholden to the school or coach anymore. Transfer rule changes has evened the playing field for athletes. They feel a way about it, transfer :manny:

Because it’s true :dwillhuh:

OU is a place that coaches rarely leave/get fired. If Lincoln had wanted he could’ve coached their for 15-20 years like Stoops did

And in the SEC you’ve got:

UGA
Bama
LSU

not to mention Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M and other programs on the come up waiting to knock you off. OU in the SEC at best might be the 4th best team…that’s a different lifestyle than being the best team in the Big 12 year in and year out
So yall think Lincoln was still going to be at OU four years from now - 2025?? Bob Stoops is a lifer. Lincoln is the young dude and type to have his eyes moving in every direction every season. OU & Texas is still in the Big 12 for 4 more years. Alot can happen in that length of a time frame. What's the SEC's status as a whole if the top kids from Cali start going to west coasts schools again?
