The prevailing belief has been that TX and OU would come to some financial agreement with the Big 12 to be able to move sooner than 2025 (most likely 2023).

CFB coaches are also huge egomaniacs. I think it pissed him off that he was included in these discussions about moving to the SEC.
They're food if they leave the Big 12 early. Texas might not even be bowl eligible playing in the SEC

I was convinced that they were gonna have to go to their tier 3-4 choices once everyone started rejecting them (never bought the Campbell rumors). Even had names – thought it would come down to Jay Norvell, Jeff Hafley, Kalani Sitake, and some NFL coach as a wildcard, maybe Doug Pederson.

This is a straight-up flex, though. No one saw this coming. If it’s true what they say about real G’s, then Mike Bohn must be one.

Let’s see what kind of staff he puts together, especially on D. Wonder if he’d keep Harrell in a non-OC role, given their T-Tech connection. Could see Donte sticking around too, for recruiting.

Look at my grad school out here doing work (and getting some sorely needed positive press). LAnd of Lincoln, indeed….

Bama ass DC
So yall think Lincoln was still going to be at OU four years from now - 2025?? Bob Stoops is a lifer. Lincoln is the young dude and type to have his eyes moving in every direction every season. OU & Texas is still in the Big 12 for 4 more years. Alot can happen in that length of a time frame. What's the SEC's status as a whole if the top kids from Cali start going to west coasts schools again?

:dahell:
The same as it's been for the past 30 years. Kinda dumb ass question is that

They will not be in the Big 12 for 4 more years. '23 at the latest.

Also I think Riley is overrated. His offense was figured out, half the OU fans are not all that upset because they consider him a soft ass p*ssy. There is no guarantee he revitalizes USC, but I guess we will see.

I mean as long as you keep the So-Cal kids home and are halfway competent as coach you'll be at 10 wins

Same old tired takes. People said the same thing when A&M and Mizzou joined the SEC. And since they've joined A&M has probably been the 3rd best team in the West behind Bama and LSU and Mizzou has won the East a couple of times.

I agree on A&M but the only reason Mizzou won those East titles was because Florida and Georgia were down, they ain’t done shyt since.

This is why I couldnt move the needle to get OU to look at my boys son. :ohhh:

lowkey it’s the reason why okla state gets a little bit more love in the black community then ou. If you’re one the better players in the Oklahoma, osu will recruit while OU is looking nationally

don’t get me wrong ou recruits locally as well

But that wasn't the narrative when they got there. It was they were gonna get smoked regardless. That didn't happen and the juelzing began. Even with UGA and Flordia being down, they were still predicted to beat Mizzou.
