It’s not like USC has been kind to coaches either, Pete Carrol was great but he’s one of the better coaches of this generation, outside of him everyone else has been mediocre or failed at USC, you can point out the recruiting he’ll do at USC but Lincoln was getting crazy amount of talent to come play for him at OU and he still wasn’t winning the big games

Yea but I think part of that is just bad hiring.. USC was cycling thru AD's and they gave jobs to bums like Sark, or Kiffin before he was ready, and then Clay Helton. And ppl expected them to continue Carroll's success which was impossible to do.

But he lied the entire season. He lied to everyone from players to the administration to most of his asst coaches to recruits and parents. And he clearly tanked late in season so he could go out the door immediately and avoid having the 2022 class sign with OU, thus taking them with him to new school.

Leave if you want, that's cool. But you can EASILY do it in a better way that doesn't involve screwing everyone over

but HOW can you do that? You can’t come out and say anything that gives ANY of these kids he’s recruiting to OU or current players any cause for pause if he says ANYTHING other than “im committed to being at OU”.

What was he supposed to do? Immediately resign once the USC job opened so he can go to USC?

I'm not saying it was easy breh. But he told Bob Stoops and our AD that he was being courted by LSU. He entered into contract extension talks with them the past 2-3 weeks while KNOWING he was already gone to USC. He just used LSU to throw off the trail of what he was actually doing. He had no intention of going there or staying at OU but kept saying he wasn't going anywhere period 2 weeks ago.

And this was literally right after the loss
