Al Jazeera:
- Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says there’s no agreement on a ceasefire, but Tehran will halt attacks if Israel stops its “illegal aggression” by 4am local time (00:30 GMT).
- This comes after US President Donald Trump said Israel and Iran have agreed to a truce to bring an end to what he called the “12-day war”. Israel is yet to comment publicly.
- Hours earlier, Iran fired a salvo of missiles at a military base in Qatar that houses American troops in retaliation for the US’s attacks on its nuclear sites on Sunday.
- Iran says that more than 400 people, including 13 children, have been killed and at least 3,056 others wounded since Israel launched its attack on June 13. In Israel, at least 24 people have been killed in Iranian strikes.
CNN:
Damage assessment: President Donald Trump claimed US bombers ‘obliterated’ three Iranian nuclear sites, and alluded to the possibility of regime change in Iran. Military officials in Israel and the US, however, are still assessing how significant of a blow it dealt to Tehran’s program.
Iran’s response: Tehran denounced the US and Israel at an emergency UN Security Council meeting. Its foreign minister said on Sunday his country has “a variety of options” for responding to the unprecedented US attacks. There has been no word yet from Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Iran-Israel conflict enters its 11th day: Both countries have continued to trade strikes. Early Monday, Iranian state-affiliated media reported Israel struck a large military complex in Iran. In Jerusalem, a CNN team was forced to evacuate to a bomb shelter during a missile warning.
Future US involvement: Top Trump administration officials insist the US is not at war with Iran, but Trump has warned the US could launch more attacks if Tehran does not make peace.
BBC:
- Iran has launched missiles at a US airbase in Qatar in response to strikes on its nuclear sites on Saturday
- Donald Trump said there were no US or Qatari casualties, called the Iranian response "very weak" and thanked Iran for "early notice" of it
- Qatar said all the missiles aimed at the US-run Al Udeid base were intercepted and labelled the attack a "flagrant violation"
- Iran's response comes two days after the US launched massive strikes against three nuclear facilities inside Iran
- This was clearly a calculated and choreographed response by Iran and the ball is now in President Trump's court, Frank Gardner writes
- Meanwhile, Israel says it's been targeting Tehran with "unprecedented force", including attacks on "access routes" to the Fordo nuclear site and Evin prison.
Reminder that we are here because of Trump and Netanyahu

AP FACT CHECK: Trump vs. truth on the Iran nuclear deal
WASHINGTON (AP) — In withdrawing the U.S. from the Iran nuclear deal, President Donald Trump outlined a rationale that contradicted the analyses of U.S. and foreign intelligence sources.

And it's all part of the plan.
