We live in a time when the administers or managers have more say have the actual creators of culture and art. Do these people realize how difficult it is to create or have a Dave Chappelle?

Outrate of twitter, cancel culture and all these other nonsenses is a just a very loud vocal minority.

Internet and Social media has given the uncreative control over the creative.

we have become a spiteful society that loves the content produced by a genius like Dave Chappelle, but also loves to tear them down because they represent the greatness most people will never achieve

People want high positions, high salaries and prestige regardless of their personal merit or lack of talent.

I am not understanding: Dave is a comic. Comics joke. Jokes push boundaries.

I haven't seen the special yet but from what I read, he wasn't bashing them. I actually thought the entire special dealt with Trans, since all of this hoopla started, but apparently he joked a little here, a little there.

Man, what? :mjlol:
A South Korean movie won best picture at the Oscars last year....maybe that had something to do with South Korean cinema being relevant in pop culture now? :gucci:
I stickied the "Squid Game" thread in The Film Room because so many people were talking about it. Do we all work for Netflix? :gucci:

There is no conspiracy, it blew up off word of mouth.

I guarantee Netflix hires hype marketers for these shows
These shows will be trending way before anyone is talking about them
Netflix has a show or movie once a month that starts trending for no reason and gets people watchig the content
Parasite got famous because the were oscars hyping it up
The average American is not watching a South Korean show unless it’s hyped liked parasite or squid game
They get these shows and movies for cheap and then hype them up to make 400x what they paid for

:hubie: In the same special where’s he’s joking about getting molested by priests and his vaccine killing Asians inside his body, they still found a way to be the most offended.
:mjlol:so true...even spoke on Preacher molestation and liking it... plus Jews and their self entitlement to Israel

South Korean series and movies have been picking up steam for a while breh. I see some of them in top watched occasionally or top 10 in series/movies.

Parasite was made by one of the most famous Korean film makers who's been killing the festival circuit for years. The Oscars/Golden Globes just been late

Netflix knew all they had to do was put a dub on Squid Games and put it up top. The visuals speak for itself and making people think, "yo what's that :ohhh:"

Before you know it they're playing Korean pogs and dude is getting the shyt slapped out of him and people thinking, "I gotta tell my boy about this shyt :pachaha:"

If they didn't think it would have moved the needle they wouldn't have ordered it but thinking it going even 10% as far as it did because it was intentional, no way in hell

Film Room has been advocating for Korean piff for years :manny:

I know that
I’m talking about the word of mouth this show has that has got my mother calling me about it
You can’t create this type of hype without a hype machine behind it
No one was talking about Alice in borderland in the capacity they’re talking about squid game
Netflix has mastered hype marketing

"Squid Game" wasn't trending prior to people talking about it.:mjlol:

The Film Room thread was made over a week before the series trended on social media. :dead:

So what are you talking about breh? I run The Film room, I'm well aware of when people started talking about the show.

As far as "Parasite", I was telling people 7 years ago to keep an eye on that director:

Snowpiercer Trailer (Joon-ho Bong)

No offense but just because you don't understand something or aren't plugged into what's going on....doesn't make it a conspiracy.

Squid game was first trending on Twitter in the last week of September
Who cares about when it trended on film room? :hubie:People were talking about it on squid game on Twitter way before film room that's where I heard of it first:mjlol:
We're talking about how the content get so popular where the average person is talking about it . Not a film enthusiast. They're not looking for directors just what's popular
It's not a conspiracy that these companies hire marketers to hype up their product it's part of the plan.
parasite was bought by universal and then they nominated it for an Oscar. After it won the average person started watching it
Squid game got hyped by Twitter and that got the average person watching it.
It's a hype machine
Here’s proof it’s been trending for a minute now

"Squid Game" Is One Of The Best Shows On Netflix Right Now And These Tweets Prove It
