Several months ago before Daniel Bryan was injured and had to undergo neck surgery, it was reported that the company did not believe Daniel Bryan was over, and that the chant of 'Yes' is what is over.

Many months later after Daniel Bryan's short-lived main event run as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the company still feels that Bryan is not as over as the chant, and that he is not really over that much.

I could see why he feels that way. That YES chant took on a life of its own without Bryan. You don't even have to know it's from Bryan to get hyped enough to do it.

That said, there's a general want to see Bryan wrestle, so Vince has to face that fact.

The chant IS fun to do, but its originated out of love and respect for Bryan. They tried to give it to Big Show a year ago and it had a bit of traction but ultimately failed. They can try to force the YES chant to someone else, but if its not a fan loved characters (like Ambrose or Rollins) it will fail.

I just hope it doesn't turn into backlash against Bryan because with their mentality, they would try to blame it on Bryan somehow
