She was sick for decades, it seemed.

The crazy part about that is that it's in the intro of her album. She put it on the album!!! So she told the world about her upbringing and then the media came out with all of this so called exposure of her stating what was said on the intro of her album. I never understood it at the time. It's like me telling the world, "I'm not rich", and then a few months later reports come out as someone tries to expose me for not being rich

She kinda referenced it in her biggest hit as well.

But you know, narratives speak louder, unfirtunately.
