Wait. Did I just see someone virtually molesting Lara Croft in that video? Is this Microsoft's new ploy to get Tomb Raider to sell?
Seriously though, I'm not sure how I feel about all of this. How exactly would you play games with this? Are you gonna be running all over your house? Are you going to be actually trying to block one of LeBron's shots? nikkas are gonna be mad when they find out how hard that is even on the Rookie setting.
I always seem to see various innovations like this, just like with that 360 degree treadmill, but they never seem practical to me for home use. Nor do they seem like they would be that useful when it come to actually playing the games. It looks like they'd just be in the way and hinder more than help. The only thing I've seen so far that seems practical outside of the Oculus itself are those touch controllers that got delayed.
I think people are going to have to realize we won't actually get true virtual reality until they can make some sort of device where it puts you into a dream like state where you can actively participate in a seemingly real world and use your senses. Almost Matrix like. At least that's how I see it.
