the future of the giants is not russ who is turning 37 in couple of months

i dont disagree but i still think they intended on having him start later. this was rushed.

I don't think people are surprised about Russ being a bridge. The main concern is when they're deciding to give the reigns to Dart. This could really fukk his head up if things don't go right. We're gonna find out a lot about Dart and about our team as a whole by the end of October

He looked really good in preseason... probably the best of the rookie quarterbacks that played. But they played it extremely safe with him since the season started. Only two pass attempts for a total of 0 yards. Which is confusing... why play it that safe only to throw him in this early?

The ownership, management and coaching appear out of sorts as usual

He's no more than a spot starter for a loaded team at this point. 2-4 games a year, max to hold the fort during an injury.

As for this... I don't like them throwing Dart into the fire. He looked great in preseason, but in general I'm a proponent of letting rookies sit and learn early on. This move reeks of desperation to save a coaching job or a season, and the latter is surprising as I don't think anybody really looked at the Giants and expected contention for playoffs.

All that said... Dart's probably best equipped to run Daboll's offense as it is meant to be run. None of this will matter if the Giants continue to not be able to stop anyone. If you can survive that pass rush, you'll eat.

Making Daniel Jones struggles look kinda questionable now with him doing well so far in Indy. Maybe it was the coaches?

The owner basically admitted it was an organizational failure from the top down regarding Daniel Jones. And then we bashed the organization for choosing Daniel Jones over Saquon (who wanted to remain with NYG) when in retrospect, we should have looked at it from the standpoint of "The Giants just let one of maybe three pieces of help Jones had walk out the door to Philly and got NOTHING back. Why would they do some dumb ass shyt like that?!"

Now Jones has help wherever you want to look in Indy and he's kicking ass. Whoever is in charge of player acquisition and team-building should be to blame.

russ was the bridge qb, idk why people are surprised dart is starting, they got a qb in the first round, and they arent going nowhere with the bridge qb. not like russ didnt understand that was the scenario as with any bridge qb


same goes for many other bridge qbs with young rookies behind them. dont think flacco will start after the browns bye, and it might be much earlier than that

It's not Dart getting the reins. It's when and why. On paper this looks like a brutal start for the kid, and it's for no other reason than for Daboll to keep his job.
