More black police is required but not all across america because we not deep all across america. We are but we arent.
When you grow up in a racist system/society you become numb to it. I didn't realize anything was wrong as a kid.
I lived in a nice neighborhood, got called nikka by white kids that got angry, would beat them up, we'd be friends again by the next day
Once I moved into a mostly black neighborhood in my early teens is when I became aware there is a problem. I was treated nice in the nice neighborhoods, and treated as an inmate in the black hoods. But its only the white police (and some latino) that act all extra. I've had black cops treat me with nothing but respect, the average white cop does not. Not in N.Virginia. The police force has these white aggressive cops (who usually have buzz cuts) patrol and harass literally anyone who fits any description of negro. I've been pulled over no less than 60x over the last 15yrs. I can count on one hand how many times those stops were from black officers. I was often told to step out the car, they search. I ask why and they say "probably cause" or a taillight was out when it wasn't or they ran a wrong digit on the licenese plate or wrong digit on the vend #. I've heard it all. Having black cops in these areas would stop the abuse, and would make people view the police as peace keepers of the community instead of pieces of shyt that prey on black communities. Police have always had that "problem" tho.
My solution is for black neighborhoods they need black cops because white people are not compassionate enough towards their fellow man. If they was, these protest wouldn't be neccessary

Generalizing allies like that article did to respectable black men is not productive in any way.
As we can clearly now especially in this thread it has widened the rift between black men and black women.

I agree with her for the most part, but her going back and forth with twitter followers, retweeting which sponsors to contact and boycott was stupid. Why not make your point by showing your face on tv every week and collect that big ass check? Now that she was suspended, she will prob have to make an apology and act completely different than how she acted this whole time. If not she will lose her job.
The point is to stay in the gray area.

I've since read the article. And I assume most of you were unable to get pass the click baiting title of it. I still feel the same way I felt prior to reading it. The shoe doesn't fit me so I don't feel personally attacked and I am intelligent enough to separate myself from the broad generalizations of the article. Now the question is why it it that so many of you have issues with it. You can gather a group of black women together and have an open table discussion and they will complain about the same things mention in that article. Whether you want to believe it or not many black women feel like it is an issue. And while they may only have personal and anecdotal experience and evidence to back up their claims it is still their reality. We cannot tell someone what their reality is. Just because you, as a black man, do not treat black woman that way doesn't mean no black man does. Hell you can go on Twitter and see this behavior everyday. So what is the issue? Y'all don't want to acknowledge it or that it shouldn't be put out on front street. Or should our sisters be forced to take the good with the bad. Ignore their own issues and just stand with us to fight the true enemy? Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't both be addressed concurrently? And yes there are bad people in every race but I ain't worried about any but my own. Do I totally agree with the article? No, because I ain't that kind of black man, but if someone does agree I am not going to chastise them for having a difference opinion than mine and I am certainly not going to abandon them because of it.
