The shyt we are about to see is going to be very jarring. We know for a fact that every single person in here that is bytching and moaning about this are gonna be either quiet as church mice when shyt goes off the rails, or celebrating along with all the dumb fukk MAGA fakkits talking about "Kamala" for the next 4 years, because being a victim crybully is far better for them than coming to terms with their stupidity.
A president can't grant pardons or clemency for state charges as a result of backward laws. That's up to states. They can set a precedent by doing so at the federal level. They can also support laws that prevent such injustices in the future, by advocating for reforms at the federal and state levels, like the Fair Sentencing Act. They can go further with clemency efforts too, like he did by expunging and sealing federal records for those granted pardons for such offenses. You're right though, that the damage caused by unjust laws can never be fully reversed, but there are actions that can be taken to help pave the way for meaningful change and provide relief to the ones affected.
