Jrue is about to be 35 and has averaged around 15+ games missed each season the last several years.

At this stage he's really more of a 2nd unit defender/stabilizing presence than a starter.

He'd be a nice acquisition for a young team that needs a vet to lead by example.
Yea, and i mean a number of us said it 2 years ago... the issue with Jrue (in Milwaukee) was he was getting paid to be the 3rd option... really the 2nd option with Khris's ongoing injuries, and that just wasn't something he was capable of.

But you bring him to Boston and make him the 5th option (JT, JB, KP, DW, then Jrue), now he's the best thing ever/mr intangibles but at a hefty price tag/overpay. So it'll be interesting what that 4 yar /135m extension could land him, and what the expectations of that team would be for him.

Banking on dudes in their mid 30s is risky :manny:. Even the best of the best have shown falloff. Its not that he isnt any good anymore its just that he cant do what he used to do at the same level for the same amount of time with the same consistency. Jrue went from championship 2/3 to championship 4/5 to now a sold bench contributor who can give you moments. Only issue is you gotta pay him like a high level starter for the next 3 years. But hey they got a chip out the deal.
