As much as I hate Thibs and his coaching style, I can see this backfiring majorly for the Knicks if the next coach isn't an ace or damn near perfect for the team like Steve Kerr.

Lol y’all the worst sports fans of all time. Y’all shouldn’t celebrate. Because you didn’t win at the end. But people say you overachieved because you played great defense on a good Celtics team and straight out toughed and outplayed them. Wasn’t supposed to beat them. Stop it . But what coach that’s available on the market is gonna be better than Thibs. Who?…It’s only one person and that’s Denver old coach. And honestly , while I like him. Thibs has a better record than him when we put the Joker to the side. At the end of the day, the players didn’t get it done and y’all coach made some mistakes, but not the reason y’all lost. Bro hands down been one of the best defensive coaches in the league for a while now and yal ultimately lost due to poor defense in crunch situations and the rotations weren’t always the best, but he knew y’all were limited offensively, so did what needed to be done. Knicks fans are the absolute worst in sports. That’s why the last championship was basically the got damn civil rights era . Y’all not making the conference finals next year. Brown might beat y’all himself with the Celtics. Y’all lil success is over unless you got a big trade or free agent. And Thibs couldn’t be blamed for that. Trash franchise forever

Yes, Thibs did a great job over the course of his tenure in New York, but sometimes a new voice is needed to get over the hump; aspirations are championships, not just being good enough for a run in the second or third round of the postseason.
They will probably go after Malone, but I also think Budenholzer, Vogel, Mike Brown, Monty Williams, and Jenkins will all be considered as they're the best candidates on the market.

Got it. Only coach in the league who coached 2 games wrong. Also, got franchise to first CF in 25 years. 2 straight 50 win seasons. Its all good. Lets see who they hire and what moves they make this summer. Whoever it is has to get to the NBA finals or its a failure, 1st year. This is New York.
