It's easier to make a change at coach than to put a discerning eye on the roster and conclude that changes are needed to progress. This holds true across all sports. This seems rash

This was always gonna be the end result. They traded away 5 firsts for Bridges and did the KAT trade. They ain't giving up on that after 1 year
YOOOO I'MIn this league you can get fired days after you win COTY.

Coaches are damn near always the first ones to go, it's way easier to get rid of them than players.
The problem was the matchup though. Indy took down Mil, Cavs & then us. the way they took down Cleve was crazy, and they were a more complete team than us. They have no style to prepare for or a system in place. They're very unorthodox.
We wouldn't have gotten past Bos with Lue, and with Spolestra, we may get 45 wins.
Wow I’m surprised they actually did it
Thibs stubbornness always had been his downfall.dude has to learn how to adapt with rotations, minutes, using the roster
Dude had delon & shamet on the bench and when they played they contributed but dude refused to play them at 1st
shamet is ass cheeks dont be fooled![]()
if this is an issue the Knicks want to address, maybe Mike Malone isn't the guy.Boy oh boy. This firing is risky as fukk. I understand Thibideau's flaws. He plays his starters arguably too much and he does not play his young players but the Knicks have a roster issue not a coaching issue. No available coach can take the Knicks as far as Thibs did even if the team might 'look' better during the regular season. I thought Thibs should have gotten one more season. Basically the team will have to throw a major bag at Mike Malone or bring in a long time assistant.
Great move on the Knicks part. Certain coaches aren't built to take you over the top. Thibs is not the coach to push young players to the next level, sort of like Kenny Atkinson with the Nets and now the Cavs.
Need a coach who will take them over the hump.
