Good. I’m glad players have this power. Of course they deserve the criticism if the moves don't work, but there's nothing about professional sports I hate more than the glorified quasi master/slave dynamics you see with coaches and players. If a player decides to say something publicly, it suggests they probably tried to go through normal channels but were blown off. Coaches like Tom start buying into their "brand" or reputation so much that they seem impervious to reasoning. You have elite athletes in their primes telling you the minutes are starting to affect them, but your fat ass doesn't want to listen? Adios!

As crazy as this sounds, why not interview for the head coaching gig? Mike Malone is top choice of course. But Rick Brunson has a lot of coaching experience and might excel in the role. My other dark horse and this is nostalgia speaking- but Jeff Van Gundy. Ty lue spoke highly of him coaching the Clippers defense.

I hate to be the guy but....... the Knicks wasn't going to win a title with Brunson as the centerpiece. They originally signed him to be a legit 2 to go along side Randle. The Knicks had a young core in Quickley, Barrett, Toppin, Grimes...
i can write a book about the Knicks bad moves over the last decade. At the end of the day, This was their only legit shot. And you could tell, when comparing the Knicks to other teams, it wasn't going to get any better. Thibs doesn't match that roster. It's not his fault and it's not the players fault. The entire roster was completely overhauled. Mitchell Robinson is the only player on the roster when Thibs got there. So this isn't his team.
