I just wish Ball was smart enough to flip this like Keyshawn did and say he is pulling his son because he is not ready and that is a punishment. A nice little PR move. Send him to a small school and he could still blossom.

It's a stunning move ... LiAngelo Ball will no longer be on the UCLA basketball team and in fact he will not be a student at UCLA ... because his father Lavar Ball is removing him from the institution.

As you know, LiAngelo was indefinitely suspended from the team after he stole sunglasses from several stores during a trip to China. LiAngelo was placed on house arrest but was sprung after Trump and others went to bat for him.

We're told Lavar believes the suspension was unfair, especially since the charges were dropped. Lavar's people tell TMZ the famous dad thinks "There's no need to break down a kid's spirit for making a mistake."

Our sources say LiAngelo is not officially withdrawn from the school but he's at home and will not return to UCLA.

LiAngelo was a freshman and never actually played a game for the team.

that's not gonna work because the hype is over due to Lonzo not making the impact Lavar said he would. Had Lonzo hit the ground running, people could say ok these Ball boys might be something.
:hubie:

I didn't say it would work, I'm just saying what was gonna happen. And looking at that latest tweet, it looks like I'm right

City of Angels :blessed:
This is smart on both sides.
LiAngelo isn't a high D1 talent. He is more a mid-major player. Ain't nothing wrong w/ that. Could still make the league after 3 or 4 good years.

Hell, the only reason he got a scholarship is because UCLA had to give him and LaMelo one to get Lonzo there.

So he brings nothing to the court. Now he's already brought international scrutiny and you know UCLA alumni and donors aint want him there anymore. I'm pretty sure this was a "forced resignation"-type deal

I would expect LaMelo's scholarship to get revoked too

So considering that he's not a D1 talent and is damn sure not an NBA talent, why not just ride the wave and let him stay in school, earn a degree and let him try to make something of himself rather than having to rely on his brothers/dad to support him for the rest of his life?

He has no future as a pro basketball player, none. Stay in school.

I think he fina put those boys in the G-League. Either that or overseas or somethin. I just don't see how they can get into the A w/o college if @ this point they talking bout tryna make players do @ least 2 yrs
low key, this isnt a bad idea.

Especially since the G League could use the pub. Lonzo can join them too.

I’ve seen worse players make money overseas, if he chooses to go that route. He’s got good size and can shoot but this nba draft talk is delusional
