1. Silver is one strange little man and I’m genuinely starting to wonder if the NBPA and/or owners have dirt on him
2. This seems small but this quite possibly may be unprecedented in sports. Even the nfl counts a spike as an incompletion for the QB. I cant think of anything else like this that suspends statistical standards. I’m speechless. Silver may be the worst thing to ever happen to this game
False equivalence. A spike is not even remotely the same thing.
I'm
speechless that everyone constantly complains about how players aren't competitive like they used to be, choosing to protect their numbers, and yet this rule change is designed to combat some of that and yet y'all think it's a bad thing.
Make it make sense.
This is not only going to improve the entertainment element of the game, but it'll hopefully lead to players abandoning the mentality of playing in a conservative manner due to the perception of how their numbers are judged. Not that it'll likely happen in our lifetime, but this is a closer move to throwing out all these archaic box score measurements of player impact/performance.
