lol @ phil jackson being overrated because he had all time greats like kobe, shaw, and MJ. But lets remember these dudes wasn't winning before phil came
Pippen wasn't Pippen and Kobe wasn't Kobe yet. So no shyt they weren't winning.

Phil is overrated though. He had a tendency to play vets over young players. Regardless of how well or bad they were playing. He hardly ever made changes to his rotations and that hurt us in a few series. In the 2009 series vs the Rockets. Jordan Farmar had a very good series, but Phil still refused to play him over Fisher who was struggling mightily against Aaron Brooks. We probably lose that series if Fisher wasn't suspended for that one game. Where Farmar came through, was our 4th best player and dropped 12/7/5/2.

That's exactly what I fear this arrangement is breh...

Hence why I'm not at all excited about it and I've always respected Phil...

I don't have an issue with Phil working out of Malibu as long as he's putting in an honest effort but this truly smells like a money grab...

The Rose trade/Melo signing with the NTC just feels like Dolan.

neither would have actual gm experience. so how is it a bad thing to go with someone like phil with all the accomplishments hes made in the league? phil or random scout who could be another chris grant. im gonna go with the guy who at least has accomplished something at this level.

What now?
