What Masai has done the past couple of years is a fireable offense.

Man could have gotten like 6-7 ists last year between Og, Fred and Trent.

Instead he lets Fred walk for nothing when he knew they weren’t resigning him. Trent’s value has torpedoed and he def isn’t worth what he was going for a year or 2 ago

And with OG’s God-tier value all they manage to bring back are 2 players who don’t even move the needle for them.

If you don’t have a trade that makes you a top 4 team in your conference then why are doing shyt like that? Especially when they could have gotten 3-4 ists for OG at the deadline last year.

O.G Scottie and Pascal are pretty much the same player and they turn down major draft capital thinking they could compete with the Bucks and Celtics. Those draft picks could've been used in a trade for a legit PG.

Masai tried to field a team of 6’7”-6’9” wings so he could switch everything and it turned out predictably horrible

I think he’s horribly underrated. When he started he kept his efficiency and averaged 20PPG. He can play ably defensively for a small guard.

IMO he’s closer to Maxey than Jordan Clarkson.

I don't suddenly think he's going to become a massive volume guard like that, I think the raps would rather let Scottie Barnes develop with the ball in his hand. I think quickly was perfectly cast as a 6th man/sparkplug.

There's no way they could pay him and brunson 100m deals with their skillets overlapping a decent amount. He was always going to move. And I'd rather have OG than RJ 100% of the time. Spacing the floor will improve for randle/brunson too

I'm just happy they retained all the first round picks. Still plenty left to be able to move

Quickly is crazy overrated on this site. And I'm a Knicks fan

You aren't gonna win anything paying an undersized 2 guard bench sparkplug 100m. I'm glad they moved quickly. He was a solid player/pick for them but the fit with brunson is just not there and he was about to get way more expensive.

I think OG is a solid get, especially on the defensive side of things. This also frees up space for Grimes to play more, even tho he's been not good this year.

Brunson
Grimes/donte
OG/hart
Randle
Mitch/hartenstein

Kept all the firsts for an eventual Donovan Mitchell move?
He’s not overrated at all he’s underrated, was robbed of 6MOY, he’s underutilized, he’s misused, he’s underappreciated, and he’s mischaracterized as a “undersized 2 guard spark plug”.

Theres no telling if it would have worked with Brunson because it wasn’t used. The fact is since his rookie year that guy was a consistent + and part of our best lineups.

Yall will see pretty quickly though.

I actually love this trade for the Knicks. OG isn’t a star but he’s an athletic wing who can give your best player fits in a playoff series

he couldn't even handle gordon hayward a month ago :dead: as long as he outperforms josh hart, the knicks will be aite tho
Got torched last night.

OG is similarly sized but that's where the similarities end. He is a good 3+D guy who moves with the fluidity of a senior citizen when he has the ball

I know what he can do but Masai had to of known that he'd have to move on from one of O.G or Pascal. Turning down 3 firsts was just stupid. That's K.G. Paul George type of trade capital. No way you turn that down for a guy with two years left on a contract.
