Bill Romanowski was notorious for dropping the n word on opposing players and teammates alike and he managed to keep his career, granted it was never caught on camera like Riley's but way too many former players claim it for it to be just a rumor. Even some of his white teammates claimed he approached them with certain illegal supplemements to "keep up with the n*ggers".

But Bill did it before the PG era and now things like this get way too big way too fast, but Riley can salvage his career if he produces and keeps saying the right things.

He did it on the field where there are no rules on how to talk. And he did it to there faces which is something anyone can respect. Did that give his opponents or himself an edge? Nobody but them can say.
There was also a John Rocker who said it and was like and even tho he is hated, I hate Riley More (Tru Story)
