In a dispute over a Louisiana voting map, the conservative majority signaled it might prohibit using race as a factor in creating election districts. Resulting redistricting could let states cement Republican control of Congress.

The Supreme Court appeared poised on Wednesday to upend a key provision of a landmark civil rights law by prohibiting lawmakers from using race as a factor in drawing voting maps, which could spark widespread redistricting efforts.

If the justices determine that lawmakers may not consider race in drawing districts, the repercussions for the country’s political balance could be sweeping, allowing Republican state legislatures to eliminate at least a dozen Democratic-held House districts across the South.

Oh yea this is basically pre-ordained. There will be a mad dash for Republicans to gerrymander the absolute fukk out of black constituents who will then say "Well this was already happening so it doesn't matter. What are the Democrats doing?" while Democrats functionally have no way to gain power in whole states.

White supremacy plays on a chessboard that tilts ever so slightly so that every time you make a good move, the shyt slides off and you are expected to remember where the pieces were in order to continue.

Getting the skills that transfer elsewhere but can't be sure I will have time to get it in place. It is true that all over the world authoritarianism is winning, in no small part due to social media, but the pot we about to boil in is gonna be something else. Unfortunately if you wanted to be out before shyt really goes crazy, you had to be ready prior to this regime hitting power. Having work and housing lined up outside of the United States is HARD.

Yea, I knew this would happen. This is why I voted for Kamala, even though I thought she was a very poor candidate. I wanted her to get in some Liberal Justices to balance out the Supreme Court. Now it has gone majority conservative, we really have no means to stop it until years later.

Edit: This is also why I have no empathy for the other ethnicities who helped this happen. So no, I am not going to protest them being removed.

It’s been a fun ride. :manny:

I know my elders are ready to go on an extended trip.

If crypto still does what it’s expected to do by next Spring I may be able to officially throw up the ✌🏾 for good lol
Welp. More than likely they gonna do the wrong thing. Maybe Thomas finally sees a black man staring back in the mirror as he washing his hands in the bathroom before voting on a restroom break.

Everything Taco does goes to shyt so the repedofiles can do all they want trying to follow him. But when their people hit rock bottom and cant afford shyt and no healthcare, shyt gonna get uglier than a mfer for them. Its telling when their base didnt buy the democrats shutting down the government play.
