You are mixing things up. One thing is how fans react to the article and another one is the article itself. Thurston did real journalism by getting the court documents to become public and proving with facts/real evidence that WWE and TKO were lying.

Yes, there were rumors and most of us assumed that was the case anyways, but the point of journalism is proving (or disproving) those rumors and that's what this is. We make fun of SRS and Meltzer conning people into paying them for third hand hearsay but then we handwave when we finally get some real journalism out of someone that covers wrestling? Nah, I much rather have what Thurston just did.

Yeah, I feel like at least once a month some fukkery happens, and we all say that if anyone bothered to report on wrestling like literally damn near any other industry, a lot of shyt wouldn't fly. We can't really get made when the wrestling industry backs its way into getting the type of reporting we were asking for.

And besides, there are plenty of reporters covering serious subjects that are fukking losers too anyway.
