I'm going to reiterate that your average small business nets 60 Grand a year. The type of per hour rate people are asking for to where they make 50 Grand a year for the most menial task just isn't realistic which is why so many of these businesses vanished and it's only going to be the large conglomerates left.

I'll tell you, you go out of business and your patrons go somewhere else

Terrible example. I business that $60k a year is not hiring a bunch of folks. That's an old talking point that continues to resurface. A small business owner trying to find commercial space to rent is actually a bigger problem than paying employees.
