The city and county of San Diego has been presenting a new stadium proposal to the NFL owners for the last 4 months. Problem is, the Charger owners want LA so bad, that they convinced the NFL that its all bullshyt fluff, that will never get voter approval.

The main issue is. Spanos (chargers owner) would like it ALL to be paid from tax dollars. He doesn't want to come out his pockets for the stadium, but wants the land around the stadium to develop other business opportunities ?:francis:

They keep saying that they have been trying to get a new stadium for the last 14 years, but fail to realize that, that was during a recession.

From what ive read. Owners are really split on who should move. If it's this hard, it means that the league isnt ready for an LA team. So why force the issue ?....dollars. Don't be surprised if this same bullshyt gets delayed for another year.

Brehs.

Its not going to be 3 teams going to LA. These are the options that will get voted on:
-Rams (individually at Hollywood Park/Inglewood location)
-Rams & Chargers or Raiders (sharing Hollywood Park/Inglewood ala Jets/Giants)
-Chargers & Raiders (sharing the carson location)

The Chargers & Raiders owner (Spanos & Davis) don't have the pockets to move to LA by themselves. Only Kroenke and the Rams do. The Raiders are just in this for the ride, and willing to go wherever is voted (stay, carson, Inglewood).

It will interesting to see what the owners vote. Selfishly, it should just be the Rams by themselves. They already have a large LA fanbase, plus there is "only" 1 temporary location that has accepted housing a NFL team until the stadium is built (LA Coliseum). It would be wise for the NFL to try out 1 team first, and see how that goes.

But money talks. And the NFL loves the 2 teams to LA idea.
chargers and raiders have made it clear they aren't joining the rams.

I was just laying out the options for the brehs who haven't been in the loop of the situation.

As for both them joining the Rams....They don't have a choice. Its all based on owner votes. Raiders don't have ANY leverage since they don't have a current stadium plan in OAK. They are essentially just going along for the ride. Same thing with the Chargers...if the league votes for them to share with the Rams (both owners will be forced to sit and work something out...eventhough they don't like eachother). More importantly, Kroenke gets the final say if he wants to share.

Kroenke holds the key in all this. If he wants to, he can sue the NFL if they block him from LA. He's one of the few NFL owners who has the pockets to start some fukkery.

IMO his vision is exactly what the NFL wants. Not only will he build a stadium on the site. It will also be a NFL Mecca (nfl offices/nfl studios/nfl west coast headquarters). This is very tempting to the NFL. The only hurdle (a big one at that) they have right now is with the FAA, flight clearance issues.

Not really.. There's only a handful of artists that can pack a large stadium much less an arena these days. Maybe a Monster Truck event here and there but I've heard repeatedly that a new NFL stadium is a bad investment. $1 billion dollars for 8 home games and a couple of preseason games.. maybe a playoff game. In baseball you get 82 home games. NBA is 40+ also you have concerts, WWE, college ball, etc in arenas
You can have soccer games in the stadium since damn near half of the population is Mexican :yeshrug:.

naw you got it wrong. chargers and raiders are together until the end. kroenke has been losing momentum since bob iger (who was asked to join by panther's owner, Jerry richardson, who happens to be on the NFL's LA committee) hopped on board, which is why he offered to have the Raiders or chargers come be a 50/50 partner last month. raiders and chargers both:stopitslime: at that because they are already 50/50 with each other, not to mention the contacts that are in place that prevent one from jumping ship to join the rams.

then you got st louis willing to build a new stadium, each day it's looking less and less like the rams are moving.

Bout to lose my Chargers brehs :mjcry:

As a diehard fan. Growing up going to games as a youngin. To bringing my kids to games and tailgates. It's a shytty feeling.

We have an owner who is turning his back on 50+ years of loyal fans. Fans who he never brought a championship to....and we still stayed loyal. Profit is a fukked up thing in sports. And this fakkit (dean spanos) wants to go north, sale the team, and profit off the market (like the clippers).

Our city is really doing anything we could to keep them. But they "want LA" to the point where they won't even sit at the table to negotiate.

The owner thinks he can be successful in LA, which is complete bullshyt. In LA, it's Rams, Raiders, Cowboys, Steelers, USC & UCLA. This dude doesn't even want to rebrand.

More importantly. Look at the trash product that is being sold to LA. A trashy team with a trash coach, and Good QB. And they announced that we are retaining McCoy. Dude has been getting worse year by year, yet he gets to keep his job ? I'm telling you...this organization is brain dead.

Above that...I don't give a fukk...I want those problems. I just want my team to stay.:mjcry:

I see this. But, the thing that you don't see is that the contract betweem the Chargers and Raiders is pending for the Carson site only. The site is a dump. Its a contaminated landfill. If the land doesn't get clearance, the deal with the Chargers and Raiders is void. The Chargers and Raiders need the partnership due to short pockets.

Also...the Bob Iger addition will cause a potential lawsuit from Kroenke and The City of San Diego. Iger was brought in by Jerry Richardson (panthers owner). Jerry Richardson is on the LA Committee, and that goes against the rules of the committee. Too much bullshyt going on.

Lowkey. The MLB is sitting in the background like :smugdraper:. They'd have the entire east bay and essentially everything south of LA.

The new A's baseball park if the Raiders leave will be :ohlawd:. Lew Wolff is probably at the church praying right now......Adam Silver and the NBA probably hyped as hell too.

Best case scenario would be if the Raiders leave for LA and the A's get Cisco Field to pop off.

if all 3 of these teams actually end up in LA LA. that would be hilarious after all these years. especially if we the people dont have to foot the bill for them. that would be perfect.

The best thing for the league is for the rams to move because they have the least loyal fan base.

There's no way in hell this city can support 3 teams...what the world doesn't understand is we the people of Los Angeles don't give a fukk about having an NFL team. This is all for these money hungry owners wanting TV/advertisement money....not us normal people. This city is USC Football, The Lakers (who I personally hate) and to a lesser extent The Clippers and UCLA Basketball/Football. You bring the Raiders here...FINE. There's a grip of Raiders fans here. But the Rams and especially the Chargers will be right back outta here within 10 years because we just don't give a fukk:dame:
