I have to look into this more but I never been supportive of pegging black americans to diversity/minority labels. Literally everyone can be a minority now: Women, lgbt, handicap, immigrants. And solutions for diversity/inclusion can include any of those groups as well regardless if blacks are included.

Our situation is unique and conflating our issues with these other groups isnt right imo.

I'm not exactly seeing what rights the lgbt have that I as a black want (or those I don't have). What rights have been taken from you and given exclusively to the lgbt community? I have no concern of a lgbt person turning me or my child gay. My child seeing adrag queen is no worse than him seeing a guy being decapitated while watching the movie 300 in a history class. The bill straight up names Critical Race Theory and says no students are allowed to major or minor in it anymore, nor can it be taught in general education courses. And we've all seen the last two years how much stuff the conservatives want to lump under that "Critical Race Theory" label - it basically means anything that points out White people tried to fukk over Black people in America.

The text also says:

“General education core courses may not distort significant historical events or include a curriculum that teaches identity politics … or is based on theories that systemic racism, sexism, oppression, and privilege are inherent in the institutions of the United States and were created to maintain social, political, and economic inequities,”

That's straight up targeted at teaching Black history. Nothing to do with LGBT.


And the bill blocks any money from being spent “to promote, support, or maintain any programs or campus activities that … (advocate) for diversity, equity, and inclusion, or promote or engage in political or social activism, as defined by rules of the State Board of Education and regulations of the (state university system’s) Board of Governors.”

That's basically saying that ANY program which deals with racial issues or even political/social activism is immediately defunded.

First off, where is your evidence for this? In most universities there is zero affirmative action for white women, enrollment is so heavily female they're starting to worry about having to favor guys.

Second, if affirmative action was helping white women get favored over white men, so what? That's something for white men to bytch about, it doesn't impact black people. It's not like affirmative action causes white women to be picked over black guys. Black people would still benefit from affirmative action regardless of whether white women also benefitted, and it's a net loss for white people either way, so why are you even bringing it up.


It's crazy as fukk that racist white people are doing MAD work to end affirmative action, but yet you try to jump through hoops to somehow justify that the racists are right.
