Samsung has been hogging news for past month due to the exploding Galaxy Note 7s. The Note 7 saga has not only had an effect on Samsung bottom line but has definitely affected the Samsung brand. The South Korean smartphone maker is looking to resurrect its image and make a comeback with its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung Galaxy S8 will follow its earlier Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and is set to arrive in the first quarter of next year.

According to the leaked press renders, Samsung is following iPhone 7 with the upcomingGalaxy S8 having similar dual-cameras. Based on the leaks, TechDroider has created a video of the phone’s design. Samsung is said to make major design changes to the upcoming Galaxy S8, which will apparently be made available in two variants like its earlier predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with bezel-less display, with the top and bottom edges curved pretty much like the S6 Edge. Home button seems passe with smartphone manufacturers and Samsung is following that trend with S8 which won’t have a home button. The fingerprint sensor will reportedly be located inside the display and there’s a high chance that users would be able to unlock their phones by touching any area on the screen.

In short, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with a 5.5-inch QHD bezel-free display and a dual-camera setup on the back. It will be powered by Exynos 8895 chipset and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 830 SoC in certain regions. It will have 6GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB versions.


Colors play an important part in smartphone strategy and Samsung has kept that in mind. The Galaxy S8 will come multiple unusual color variants, like blue, purple, a shade of brown, and yellow. In addition, the smartphone is expected to come with Viv AI assistant.

Some reports indicate that Samsung Galaxy S8 with an Iris scanner. It remains to be seen when Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 because it will be hoping that its next flagship resurrects its bottom line as well as lost brand value.

I don't know what the issue is with the Note 7 design but the best displays in history are from Samsung. Can't go below that. It's unthinkable.
