Not happy about this at all. He is not worth two first round picks. Even one is debatable. Jets fleeced

I don’t think the masses understand the CB position. People still look at it from a Deion perspective. Outside of Surtain that mold doesn’t exist. And it rarely exists. You can name probably 5-7 DBsthis century who’ve been on that level. And acruwlky make that 5-7 SEASONS bc it’s even less dudes who have sustained it

So to be considered a top tier DB that isn’t the barometer, it’s can you be a guy that makes the QB second guess trying you. That’s really it. And Sauce CLEARLY does that. Talkin bout ‘he trash’. If he’s traah who’s good then?!

There’s no reality sauce is worth the same amount as Micah or Tyreek Hill. Sauce is good in coverage and has probably the worst ball skills of any “elite” DB

This was a fleece

They’re trying to win now.

We’ll see how this plays out. I can see somebody like Mahomes or Allen spoil plans come February in the AFCCG.

Do like them shoring up an already good defense. They generate a lot of pressure without blitzing so theoretically this can get them more coverage sacks.

What still matters most to them is that or Buffalo don’t get Homefield Advantage though.

My Pops Forever RIP
Since 2019, the only Jet draft picks still on the team are

21- AVT who can't stay healthy for shyt and might as well be off the team
Jamien Sherwood who did get an extension who has been bleh since.

22 (which was the greatest achievement Joe Douglas had)-- Wilson- extended
Jermaine Johnson II- not getting traded, assume he'll get a deal
Breece Hall- either he's getting franchised or he walks
Ruckert, Mitchell, Clemons- ass

23- McDonald- horrible draft pick in real time over JSN
Tippman - might be a keeper at guard

the 2023 draft was 2 years ago and only 2 players are left on the team

24- Fashanu - mediocre LT so far
Allen - 2nd RB who's now hurt
Davis- change of pace back who's gonna get extended run
Stiggers- backup

3 of the Jets draft picks from that class are already off the team

They're starting from nothing.

EDIT: this was before Quinnen got traded too
