look dummies...the census is done to count the number of people in the country. it's literally in the constitution.

why do you hate the constitution?
you mean the constitution that was written in the 1700s by rich white landowners who thought only other rich white landowners should be able to vote and hold office, and didnt consider blacks to be human beings? the constitution we've had to amend several times as we've progressed because...the country has changed?

that constitution? :patrice:

got a call for three nines
technically, it's not the federal governments business which state you choose to live in, and how your locally elected politicians decide to tax you. you choose to live there, and the services you get is the benefit of that

in the eyes of the federal government
, explain to me why someone living in NYC making 50 thousand should owe them less than someone in south dakota making 50 thousand?

let's hear it, jekyll

This is jibberish

Double taxation is against American values and may well be unconstitutional.

You’re paying taxes on money you never had

the federal government doesnt budget ambulances and fire trucks :what:

So you think only the federal government uses census data? :dead:

the major flaw in your argument is that it doesn't have an end point. im arguing that the federal government should take a census of its citizens, which is pretty cut and dry. your position is so open ended and ridiculous that it just doesnt really make any point at all

The endpoint is simple: The census should be accurate.

Your idea that it's only supposed to count citizens is silly and has never been the law.

how can it ever be accurate when you insist on counting people who live off the grid :mjlol:

im fine with counting people. all i said was that it's pathetic to frame a citizen check box as racist. it's one of the most embarrassing arguments the democrats have ever made

i have to :dead: again at the constitution being brought up

it's fine to toss it aside, because the founding fathers could have never conceived of the electoral college becoming so unbalanced because of population. but lets bring it back up again when the narrative has to shift to catering to people who came here illegally :laff:

So it was fine not to have that question for the last 70 years of census taking, but all of a sudden now it's "pathetic" to point out the GOPs obvious political motivations for doing this :stopitslime:

:snoop: @ this juelzing...

We are talking about people that are living in the country illegally having representation in congress...There is no LOGICAL reason for that...

Stop juelzing and keep it on subject...

Your not a US citizen, you don't count...PERIOD
If you’re subject to a nations laws and contribute to its economy, you should have a representative voice in government.

do you see a conflict when the same party that wants to push medicare for all, feels that asking people taking the census whether theyre a citizen or not is too intrusive?

wrong, because you can't define 'contribute to its economy'. you're either a citizen or you're not

and please dont tell me you just brought up illegals being subject to the nations laws :mindblown::laff:

and if that illegal workforce were to suddenly cease to exist,
"if an impossible thing magically happened" is not a good basis for an argument :mjlol:

in fact, that specific thing is a pretty good counterargument :ohhh:

if the underground, underpaid, under-the-table workforce instantly vanished, america's economy would shyt the bed immediately :umad:

they'd be jumping from the highest windows on wall street :blessed:

Wilber Charlton Westerham the Third would be forced to sell one of his yachts and possibly skip his annual ski trip to the Alps this year :picard:

Yes. And if you want the census to only count the number of citizens, feel free to fight for the constitutional amendment :yeshrug:

What are you talking about? You’re literally making zero sense. You’re being sloppy. You’re flailing. It’s embarrassing.

BTW, election law is largely governed by the states (remember that thing you guys like so much). They have the power to decide how to manage their elections, apportion delegates etc subject to federal laws regulating voting rights etc.

:hhh:
