yes, how dare a federal government ask if you're a citizen of that government in a census

:mjlol:
you know how the talking point is always "but the dems arent actually for open borders"? of course they arent, literally. but shyt like this is what people are referring to

You just can't help :cape:ing for Trump can you :mjlol:

The reason this is an issue is because it'll just cause people to not participate in the census and skew the results.

But I assume by default that Supreme Court is going to vote 5-4 in Trump's favor (on any issue) so it is what is is. :yeshrug:

No one is surprised :heh:
As far as I know the Trump administration is the only one (Republican or Dem) to try this so this counts as :cape: for Trump.

And yes, it's an obvious attempt to skew census results in the GOPs favor.

Yeah...I don't really see the issue with the question.

The issue is that it's going to discourage people from participating in the census and make it less accurate.

But I don't see how it's unconstitutional...

and...why is that, exactly

:childplease:

what people?

People who aren't citizens, or who maybe are but have family who aren't citizens living with them.

The point of the census is to be accurate because it's used to allocate resources and determine the amount of political representation a state or district receives. Adding a question like this is just going to make the census undercount people in urban areas with more brown/black people and thus cause those places to get fewer resources and fewer representatives.

But I'm sure you're fine with that as long as we deport those damn illegals making your taxes go up

But I don't see how it's unconstitutional...

Dunno about constitutionality but there are legit arguments that it violates anti-discrimination statutes and things like that.

I’m against illegal immigration but I don’t want the government getting in my business and asking me questions and shyt

I remember I was working for the census and I walked down a real hood neighborhood close to my house and two dudes in the car was like Ey man, don’t go up there. We good
