we found out last year they plan to skew the census data as heavily as possible to favor the red states and re-direct funding from the blue (urban an non-white) parts of the country to the redneck regions

People who aren't citizens, or who maybe are but have family who aren't citizens living with them.
The point of the census is to be accurate because it's used to allocate resources and determine the amount of political representation a state or district receives. Adding a question like this is just going to make the census undercount people in urban areas with more brown/black people and thus cause those places to get fewer resources and fewer representatives.
But I'm sure you're fine with that as long as we deport those damn illegals making your taxes go up
Dunno about constitutionality but there are legit arguments that it violates anti-discrimination statutes and things like that.
