Who negotiated this deal. I would like the terms of record contracts to be more transparent like athlete's deals - I wonder if his ownership stake outweighs the value of signing him on to promote the brand

Probably more for his business sense, him finding one new hot artist and getting them on Roc Nation will be enough for the deal to be profitable.

Why would you want another mans pockets to be transparent :dame:

You look at it like that from layman's point of view but I (and many others) are just interested in the music business

An MLB contract is essentially open record

I respect the business aspect, but as a fan I hate that it feels like I'm being forced to use a service I don't care to buy/use with Tidal.

Money and Violence, Ye, and now TI., I'm torn man but I've never had interest in Tidal, I like Apple Music and don't wanna have to pay for more than one streaming service.

Then switch to Tidal :manny:

What has you tied to Apple Music?

How exactly is Tidal flopping? I'd really like to know.

Breh, there is a legit agenda to destroy the image of Tidal. After Kanye last album #Tidal was trending on Twitter and the majority of the people commenting were pissed that they actually had to use Tidal to get the album. Tweet after tweet of people saying no matter what they'll never pay for Tidal, it sucks, it flopped, etc.

When Tidal was announced on here, everyone kept shytting on it despite none of them even using the service. There's some real fukkery going on behind the scenes :mjpls:

Technically I don't think sports contracts are public record. I don't think teams are obligated to disclose specific contract info

I'm starting to believe there is an agenda against TIDAL as well and here's why:

People are looking at TIDAL from the wrong perspective, it isn't about a profit it's about OWNERSHIP and DISTRIBUTION. Do you realize how much richer Master P and Birdman would be if they had a distribution deal that they had a piece of ownership in on top of owning their own masters?

I'm tempted to call what Jay is doing brilliant for the simple fact that he would have never been able to break into the traditional distribution business. The TIDAL exclusives seem forced and like a hassle but in reality, it's keeping the money in the "family" so to speak.

I don't subscribe to any music service but I'm strongly considering getting a TIDAL subscription to support black musicians taking their ownership back.
