This tariffs thing has to be the biggest economic misfire in American history and most people don't realize it's going to get so much worse. We are about to find out how much America doesn't produce in a real way.

It’s idiotic.

I was never going to vote for Kamala as she’s beyond terrible, but Trump is butchering this economy and tariff situation. Yes, the economy was actually not great going into his administration as it just had a bandaid on it, but this tariff shyt is not the way to go about it.

And, even if manufacturing is brought back to the U.S., it will mainly be AI and machine driven. You won’t have all of these jobs. This is just flat out idiotic.

We a going through a global reset. This has nothing to do with china or any other nation, they all know that.

All the money is being funneled to a new class. This is globally and applies to each currency.

Basically a new standard of lower middle and upper class. What will it be idk but it probably won’t become apparent for another decade.

Just like 60 years ago middle class was one man working to support an entire family with money to spare. Today this would be considered lower class.

Like I said idk what the new middle class will be but we are in a transition period. Complaining won’t change anything it’s inevitable.

I have a feeling we are returning to one income families again because it will be more difficult to get ahead in the modern world and will require a lot more sacrifices. We will look back at the two parent households with nostalgia like we do the 1950s.

I believe for certain the new lower class will own nothing and be wage slaves, pacified with technology.

Idk the issue they always run into is it ain’t as many of them true believers as they want it to be and there are a whole lot of guns in America. Like they want the result of overt white racism but ain’t built to get it because they know they personally as individuals could get got.
My fear is social conditioning can shift and as Scott Galloway says, the most dangerous people in the world are broke, lonely (white) men. Gen Z and the manosphere loves Trump because they falsely think he is what a real man looks like and that line of thinking may metastasize into a much more violent, far right movement. Nazis in the 20s and early 30s weren't genocidal. And all it takes is for good people to stand down. Like what's happening.

I'm too much of a student of history and it's manifesting.

Fortunately this regime is all-time levels of dumb.

TemuThings subreddit is pretty crazy.

Folks have saved thousands of dollars and probably multiple times more buying shyt from there before tariffs hit. :wow:

I said before I got a high quality gaming/office chair for $80 and a few textbooks for Electromagnetics and Electronics, really nice reference guides (written in English).

Oh, also bought those Haixin stackable organizable bins from Temu instead of Amazon. Saved about $1000 - $1500. Can’t believe I forgot to mention that. Same 4-Layer shyt they got on Amazon for $200 is $65 on Temu. Garage, living room and office storage set up dirt cheap.

DJI is skipping the US with its most advanced drone yet

The Mavic 4 Pro is coming to Canada and Mexico, but not the USA (for now).

Sean Hollister is a senior editor and founding member of The Verge who covers gadgets, games, and toys. He spent 15 years editing the likes of CNET, Gizmodo, and Engadget.

Today, DJI is officially announcing the Mavic 4 Pro, which could be the most versatile drone it’s ever made. It’s the first with a 360-degree rotating gimbal for footage that tilts, rolls, and offers true vertical filming. It’s the first Mavic to offer 51 minutes of battery life, tied with the old Mini 3 and close to the longest flight times DJI has achieved. It’s the first with a built-in 100-megapixel camera, which can also record 6K/60fps HDR, as part of its triple-camera array.

Another important distinction: it’s the first off-the-shelf DJI drone that won’t launch in the United States. Or at least, that was the plan — since we published this story, we’ve discovered that two US retailers are actually selling it anyhow starting at $2,699.

Anyhow: officially it’s going on sale in Canada, Mexico, and every other country where DJI sells drones, but the company tells The Verge it has no timeline on bringing it to the US. DJI won’t honor its limited warranty if you cross the border to purchase one in Canada or Mexico.

It’s not even sending the drone to US-based technology reviewers — we don’t have one, and we’re not sure when we’ll get one.

Why is the Chinese drone maker doing this? The company says Trump’s tariffs were among the top reasons it chose to abandon a US launch — and there’s also the fact that, seven months later, US Customs is still holding up DJI’s ability to import drones into the country.
