Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I always think it's crazy asf how folks call a dude washed up after 2 severe injuries, coming back, having lower numbers that's completely on par with age decline, and still having 30+ 20pt games. In a season. With Dray and Steph Klay might not be as valuable (PG would fit perfectly, need youth in the bench to be a contender doe) but with nikkas like Zion and DM or Ja and Jaren Jackson, he'd be just as valuable as he was to GS.

Who skipping over what? Dont come in here lying bro… He wanted another max extension and he’s not worth that at this point in his career.. never mind the man was next to non existent in the play in.. we not going to rewrite history in here
Nobody is re-writing history. Klay was really bad at points during the season last year, more so than any point since his return from injury but since the injury he’s produced relatively similar numbers offensively. Defense has slipped for sure but Dubs fans treating him like he’s on some Demarcus cousins shyt then got the nerve to be mad he’s outta there :dead:

Eh. He's closer to cooked as a perimeter defender than not. You mentioned age decline - the biggest telltale sign that a guy doesn't have it on that end anymore is when he gets moved from the 2 to the 3. I think that's the biggest "demotion" you can have when it comes from going down a position (you got Bron and Durant going from 3s to 4s as other recent examples, but they can still play their native positions at a high level).

I don't know what the comparison is supposed to be here either - "he'd be as valuable as he was to GS". Which era of GS? He wasn't truly valuable to them the last couple years when he hunted bad shots, wasn't playing within their system, and couldn't create off dribble. Even when his shooting got back on track, there's a reason they still had to try their ass off to find other shot creation with the other guards outside of Steph. He'd be more valuable to other teams than GS, but it's mainly because he doesn't fit the role of what they need anymore.

Warriors are simply cooked unless PG tries to work for a sign and trade and does his best to stay in LA. I don't think he wants to move to Philly, but I think that's the only spot that makes sense if he actually signs on the open market. The Orlando idea is just nonsense to me; no shot Paul wants to go back to a non-existent sports market with how he got out of Indy and Oklahoma. I don't truthfully think Philadelphia completely scratches that itch for a guy like him, but at least it's close to NY

The thing with Klay is, he could have those nights with the Warriors where he shoots nothing but bricks, but the Warriors fans would let it slide because he's a legend there.

But other fans aren't gonna have that loyalty. So it's gonna be sad to see Lakers fans call him Al-Qaeda Klay if he becomes a brick layer.

They didnt lose to boston cause they couldnt defend...they lost cause they couldnt generate consistent buckets with boston effectively locking up kyrie.

The Mavs had a 115 defensive rating this year, the 18th-ranked defense in the league. Only the Nuggets have won a title with even close to that bad of a defense, and even they were still better than these Mavs.

And the Mavs did that with Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington at forward, two elite defenders. You replace Derrick Jones Jr. with Klay, you know what happens? You've got a layup line. Kyrie-Luka-Klay doesn't work as a defensive backcourt at all.

Yeah, the Mavs weren't quite that bad defensively in the Finals, but that was mostly just because the Celtics were bricking threes the whole series and still won going away. 112 defensive rating for a Finals is not good and it could have been even worse. Put Klay in alongside Luka/Kyrie and it will definitely be worse.

Did Bobby Marks say that it isn't worth it for the Timberwolves to go into the 2nd apron and they should blow it up?
It's all going to come down to the potential ramifications of the lawsuit over ownership control as it's already been said that ARod/Lore will look to cut salary if they take ownership of the team.

Glen Taylor and Minnesota Timberwolves ownership has been notoriously cheap over the years and it's been well documented. It's a reason why there were rumors before the start of the season that they were going to move KAT to reduce spending.

The major question for this is going to come after this upcoming season as Rudy can opt out of his deal and Naz Reid can as well and will be potentially due for an even higher salary than it is now.

Russ is only getting 4 million, what can Klay be worth? You're just paying for the name at this point.
