People who say “tax write off” when seeing stuff like this are so ignorant. The benefit of keeping your money will ALWAYS be more than the benefit of giving to a charity and reducing your taxable income by that amount through a tax write off.
You should be taking the deduction on every donation you make. Don’t ever let someone shame you into not taking it. There’s literally no good reason to not take it. Only Uncle Sam wins in that scenario.
