They have zero leverage now. Should've taken the deal when it was on the table years ago. Now will have to wait for either 1) very dovish party coming into power in Israel or 2) worldwide movement similar to anti-apartheid - but even then that will only work if there is a US administration that is more sensitive to Palestinian needs, in other words it won't happen.
The mistake the palestinians made was in not being able to shift their tactics/strategies post cold war. These kind of independence movements were only successful during cold war when the weaker party may have had some support from either the US or the Soviets. Those days are long gone.

The US is run from Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, I have no idea why the Palestinians even talk to the US. Even the British and French make some calls favourable towards the Arabs, the US on the other hand is 100% pro Israel.
