This will pretty much end the program and accelerate the hiring of WFH intetnational employees that won't pay taxes in the US.

Naw, we have a lot of Asians but it's not 80%. It's like 20%.
I don't know what time you were at campus yesterday but the reason you saw a majority of them if it was late is because the white and black folks leave campus Friday after classes are over. The Asians have to stay on campus for obvious reasons.
But back to the topic at hand. This is nothing more than a government shakedown. They said the government can give waivers at their discretion. So you know companies will be cutting checks and giving other concessions for those waivors. Trump is basically forcing companies to give bribes. It's gonna be either bribes or more companies will just offshore directly to India instead.

It's crazy Donald Trump is running a country like he runs his businesses. A glorified racketeering operation. If the media had any integrity would examine how hostile Mr Businessman has been to small and medium sized business. Between the tariffs and this form of gate keeping because small businesses cannot afford these costs we will see closures increase therefore shutting doors and exacerbating the unemployment problem.

No one said the Chinese cannot manufacture. They were talking about quality / high-end goods.
Chinese also showed what they could do in places like Taiwan and Hong Kong.
India now has an economy that is bigger than the main ones in Europe and I cannot think of one major world class hardware tech company.
Ditto for indian led countries abroad.
There are structural and cultural issues that are in the way.
I have never seen a single immigrant work harder than the Americans I know.

Bull fukking shyt. I am a network engineer and I have worked with plenty of Indians that know jack shyt. Plus when they get in positions of management or where they can influence hiring it becomes Little India.
All of these I.T jobs can be done by Americans and should be done by Americans but greed has allowed this to happen over the last 30 years.
Of course you work hard when you are most likely stuck in a shyt contract and if you get let go back to Bangalore you go. On one job I was cool with a few of them and learned they were making 3 times less than me WITHOUT overtime, which they were working.
