I think it's a good idea. However, I have a feeling that Trump will end up fukking it up. Nevertheless, it's a good idea and it certainly addresses the undercutting of wages that immigration can bring.

Of course, the usual suspects are mad at this:
Your typical far lefty, multicoloured-haired, commie, whiny, LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ+-x/, out of touch, moron who claims to fight for fairness, yet are predominantly middle-class twats who have no idea of the hardships of the working class. Yet they wonder why nobody likes them or takes them seriously.

The Locker Room is funny. After nearly 10 years, off and on, of Trump being President and his repeated catastrophic failures if you tickle their innate xenophobia they become MAGA

:mjlol:

Trump is the greatest conman ever
It’s almost like that’s how politics work?! You pick and chose which parts are going to benefit you the most?!!

Let's get to the nitty gritty of this mess , is the president allowed to make up his own rules or enforcement on anything ? . Has Congress passed any laws on this 100k fee ? Cheeto/ Miller cannot just make up those figures. The tariffs are another bs attempt to RIP off businesses & raise prices on everything ,it needs to end asap

According to the Supremes, yeah.

But even if he didn't, his Congress isn't gonna take their own power back.

Congress didn't pass DACA either. But this is the type of unintended consequences when Presidents start taking unilateral action.

This should've been done eons ago instead of just letting companies game the system.

Trump Plans H-1B Lottery Overhaul to Prioritize Higher Earners

Their odds of selection would be based on the wage level to which they are assigned. Workers in the highest of the four wage levels—earning an average annual salary of $162,528—would be entered into the selection pool four times; those in the lowest tier would be entered only once.

That process “would favor the allocation of H-1B visas to higher skilled and higher paid aliens, while maintaining the opportunity for employers to secure H-1B workers at all wage levels,” the proposal said.

What to Know About Project Firewall, the Trump Administration’s H-1B Visa Probe

Companies could face probes into their compliance with the H-1B visa program as part of the Trump Administration’s effort to clamp down on the program and force companies to hire more Americans.

The Department of Labor announced on Friday that it was launching Project Firewall, an “enforcement initiative” that will investigate employers for potential abuse of the H-1B visa process. The initiative may be the first time the federal government has sought to broadly enforce H-1B legal standards intended to protect both the H-1B employee and American workers, such as paying wages on par with other workers of similar qualifications or with the local prevailing wage and offering benefits on the same basis as for U.S. workers.

I'm a Trump supporter — but I might move back to India over his H-1B policy

  • Software engineer Abhishek Singh says the new $100,000 H-1B fees made him rethink staying in the US.
  • Singh says he still supports President Donald Trump.
  • After nine years in the US waiting for a green card, he's now considering moving back to India.
