I have a simple exercise for who is friend or foe especially for moments like this. I imagine myself dropped into the middle of a pitched bloody battle between two enemies; on one side Antifa and other anti-facists groups, on the other side Nazis and the KKK; both sides are all whites for fairness. I have to choose one side to run to for safety. For me the answer is simple.

and there are real genuinely dangerous groups who should be
criticized and condemned.

There are people protesting ALONGSIDE THEM that are ACTING OUT OF THEIR OWN INTERESTS.
