So racial profiling videos won't be able to be shared anymore huh? Kamala brother already putting that work in.

:mjpls:

I know you're trolling as always but I think those sorts of videos will still be okay:

“This policy is not applicable to media featuring public figures or individuals when media and accompanying Tweet text are shared in the public interest or add value to public discourse.”

It's in the public interest to expose people being racists and Twitter ain't gonna take the hit for claiming otherwise.

If you in a public park and I'm taking pics/vids I dont need your permission to publish those.

You do if you're selling the photos or using them to promote a product or yourself.

When Do You Need a Photo Release Form?

An image release form is required when the image will be used for commercial purposes. A simple way to determine if the usage is commercial is to ask yourself if the image is generating money; creating sales; or promoting a product, event, or idea. If so, you definitely need a picture release form. If the image is being used for editorial purposes, accompanying a news article or journalism piece, a standard photo release form isn’t necessary.

You’re wrong fam because I did not say privacy. I didn’t even say you can’t take the pic nor post the pic

You cannot sell the pic with my face on it. People would simply take pics of celebs in public places then be able to sell anything they wanted with that picture on it. Go take of Jordan in the park and put it on mugs and shirts and you good. Take pics of you coming out of work and make 40 million off it and you think you can’t sue me?

“In most states, you can be sued for using someone else's name, likeness, or other personal attributes without permission for an exploitative purpose. Usually, people run into trouble in this area when they use someone's name or photograph in a commercial setting, such as in advertising or other promotional activities.”

Ummm how do you think the paparazzi work :heh:

I mean I only been taking pictures and videos of people in public spaces for 10 plus years but okay

The first amendment fool. They sell them to the PRESS. Not to make their own personal shirts and mugs online

Why wouldn’t every pap just make all their photos into books and albums and sell themselves? I been selling weed for a long time, doesn’t make it legal. If any of the people in your photos ever wanted to sue you because you made a lot of money off them being in one, you’d lose. Plain and simple.

Paparazzi photos are published under the exact loophole I've already described to you - they are printed in editorial news services under the claim that they are photos of public figures that serve a public purpose. Where the exact lines are to be drawn remains a matter of debate.

So because you can't actually form an argument for whether what you're doing is legal or not, we're supposed to take the fact that you've gotten away with it as proof that you're following the law?

Yall dumb Twitter been relevant the longest and won't stop anytime soon. This is probably to protect themselves from lawsuits

4th post in the thread said as much if someone that'd not a public figure gets posted and they ask twitter to take it down its getting taken down.

Business as usual continues on the greatest social media website

So pretty much silencing the activists that jammed up a lot of these cops and racists. Law firms about to eat if their racists clients get jammed up

That isn't even remotely true. If you read the thread you'd see many people already noted that posts which serve a public interest can still be posted.

Ok lets see how that process is handled. If they freeze the post for a few weeks it can stop it from going viral
