Lets see what happens. I'm not holding my breath. A two state solution would require a war to actually enforce it. This means that the white countries(I'm tired of using the term 'the west' when countries like australia get included into that shyt and nobody means latin america or africa when they say 'the west') would recognize the Palestinian authority in the west bank as the government of palestine. If Hamas doesn't stand down(they very likely won't, they haven't held an election since they won in 2006) this means that UN peacekeepers will have to collaborate with the PA to FORCE them to stand down and at the same time keep Israel from stepping in to sabotage these operations and prevent a 2 state solution from happening.
It will be a bloody war, but at this point I'd much prefer armed men shooting at eachother than a state with sophisticated weaponry just dropping bombs on civilians. The Nazis at least put their victims in gas chambers or just shot them outright. What Israel is doing is somehow worse than what nazis did. Trying to give Palestinians their own state will just recreate what happened with jews and israel. It would be like if after WW2, Israel went to where east Germany would've been and the berlin wall divided them.
The best solution is a singular state which is secular. Palestinians retain unique status like the Catalans in Spain or Quebecois in Canada or French speakers in Belgium, but are free to move around in the country and the official languages are Hebrew, Arabic and English, there's a new constitution which guarantees equal rights and--again--reinforces its secular status. Instituting this state will require HEAVY military presence to make sure that Palestinians who have been displaced have either the right and funds to buy back their homes, or they are paid an "occupier's tax" levied on whichever Israeli is living in that land.
Again, this will involve a LOT of bloodshed. Many people will have to die, the US will either have to abstain and not get involved at all, or they'll have to back the United Nations and make sure that they keep Israel in check as this happens. South Africa didn't split into two countries when apartheid ended, it remained one country with changes and a truth and reconciliation process. Something similar would have to happen in this new state(I'll call it Israel-Palestine or Is-Pa for convenience).
Otherwise all these powers can really do is refuse to do business with Israel and allow it to become a financial drain on the US to the point where america says "enough" and moves away from it too and it withers away as it can no longer afford to keep starting shyt with its neighbors and then running to the US to clean up its messes while our people die here without adequate food or medicine. The lack of outside funding and military hardware will force israel to actually become diplomatic and try to reach agreements with their neighbors, let Gaza breathe, bankroll its reconstruction, take down the checkpoints, force hamas to hold free and fair elections overseen by the UN with candidates that include representatives from the Palestinian Authority and fully cooperate with the ICC and send its war criminals to the hague to be prosecuted.
