I'm not saying the US is above being challenged on its internal approach to geopolitics, but lets drop the pretense that the world isn't bigger than the USA and this nation has to fight every day to maintain its dominance.
And don't be swayed from former superpowers and talkative nations in europe about how aggressive the USA is...without the USA many of those places would cease to exist and they benefit form the USA presently securing their interests by proxy.
I would never support a move that asks for the US to sit on the sidelines...cause when that happens, you're letting another nation dictate the direction the world goes.

the only thing the airstikes accomplished was give IS the anti-imperialist credentials they were desperately looking for.
most of IS fighting force is up north laying siege to the the Kurds but Obeezy is in Raqqa bombing empty buildings.
IS has capitalized on the chaos in Syria, Sunni fear of the Baathist regime and and the wider Saudi-Iranian cold war that has engulfed the region. instead of pushing for a ceasefire in Syria and an end of hostilities between the Oil Kings and the Ayatollahs which will create the conditions where IS can be successfully confronted, Obama opted to join the Syrian civil war as a hostile party and create further destabilization and sectarian fears.
gotta look at how this destabilization serves to benefit the hegemony of the States and Israel in the Middle East. If Iraq, Syria and even Lebanon fall apart with these militias running around in a bunch of failed states, then Israel can kick back and
