I am curious as to whether Trump would actually be willing to criticize Israel for this in the likely event they're not on board. He might care more about Bibi making him look bad than AIPAC, so who knows.

Yeah he will criticize them. The question is will he stop funding them? The answer is no. And talk is cheap. The U.S. has always had the power to reign in Israel by simply threatening to hold back all funding. Yet they will never do that. It tells you who really has the power. Israel is the boss.
