It's bigger then that. If trump does get impeached pence will just have to coast out the term. He won't be able to pass any significant legislation. GOP will be in shambles and lose house and senate. And a dead rat will be able to beat pence in 2020.On the one hand I pray this happens.

Republicans are still defending him. And its hurting them. Just look at townhall footage. A lot of seats that were highly likely republican for the midterms are now toss ups. If trump got impeached in the next couple months then they could withstand the temporary damage. But the more this drags out and they defend him it's only getting worse.
Pence has been defending trump like a abused Stockholm syndrome having wife. If you think this won't hurt his political career you crazy.
So how does having Trump removed hurt them again?... and shouldn't we want him to stay if what you say is true about them being damaged by him?
