It really bothers me how many brehs did not see this coming in my threads. I don't understand why such a lack of critical thinking on here sometimes. We're black. We can't afford to ever forget or downplay these people and their habitual line stepping.

It's 2025... I just don't get it. Look at the signs on the road we're clearly driving brehs

*“These would be heinous, violent criminals who have broken our nation’s laws repeatedly. These are violent, repeat offenders in American streets,” Leavitt said.*

Why she acting like the alternative is to parole these dudes? They will still be in prison in the USA.

Oh yeah, here they have access to counsel, services, a functioning court system, and perhaps family support.

I wonder who the first non-violent political prisoner will be?

Both here and LSA there are people like "there are a lot of thugs that need to be made an example of", "this may deter crime in our communities"

I swear we have some of the most naive and outright dumb takes for a people that have been under siege for 400 years.

:unimpressed:#bothsides.

We really seeing this shyt ramp up in a way that won’t be pretty in a year’s time. Wait till the inevitable protests lead to some folks getting rounded up and sent to El Salvador with no due process. Somebody gonna have to hit the Mozambique to stop this shyt.

Here we go. This is exactly how authoritarianism takes hold by starting with people no one wants to defend. First, it was so-called "illegal immigrants," then it crept into targeting legal immigrants, green card holders, even naturalized citizens. Now they're moving on to the idea of deporting actual US citizens, as long as they're labeled "criminals."

It always starts this way: you create a category of people the public won't fight for, then test how far you can go. Once you normalize taking rights away from *them,* it's easy to expand who counts as "them."

People really need to realize that this isn't about punishing bad actors and wake up to the reality that's in front of them. This should scare the hell out of everybody.
