It's not really. It's worse in other communities. Even white people go to great lengths to avoid being outed and when they do they do far worse. Peter Thiel's whole run of bullshyt all started with him being outed. Other groups outright kill open normal gays for minding their own business, let alone this kind of exposure. Blacks are far more accepting with this than most people realize.

Some gay white people actually preyed on and victimized black men back in the day. This is seen more readily in poor foreign countries with black men. The shyt NATO soldiers and so on is a glimpse of some of the stuff done. One can say those men were not gay just predators but in the eyes of the victim and the eyes of the people in general, it looks like a DL or gay man terrorizing young people. This is what gets me. I'm not attacking you in particular but a lot of people speak with too much cavalier on the topic without knowing the history or being cognizant of the issues at hand that may have created it but when it is an issue that effects their community, they will demand people utilize nuance. This inability to at least use nuance with one's own supposed community will be the death of the black community, in this part of the world at least. Again, not attacking you but a decent other number of people in this thread seem to be on that wave. It will bite them in the ass in the long run.
