Naw the style switching system and the complex moveset of DMC4 completely shyts on bayo and bayo is one of my favorite games. What bayo does do better than DMC is the set pieces and constant genre switching.

You buggin. The moveset variation system of Bayo is an improved version of DMC's, to which is even more complex and variable, let lone how even more smooth and fluid the movement was. Tied with bullet time and upgrades, Bayo's gameplay > DMC.

To me I feel DMC4 still has the best gameplay of any stylish action game. Just to me the movement , the speed and style system is piff and nero's devil bringer just changed the game. Bayo is definitely second after DMC4 as far as gameplay goes.

In all honesty, initially the fluidity of movement almost does seem just that. As if it feels almost too loose, comparatively to DMC/NG/etc. style games. Once you get acclimated tho, you soon realize that it's just indisputably better in that regard. It makes sense tho, cuz it's essentially how Kamiya wanted DMC to ultimately be as. It's a perfect harmony of style and substance. The permeation of its style kinda throws some folks off tho, to some extents, rightly so (all the blasphemous and overt sexualization nature of the game and insanely imaginative to the point of nigh absurdity).

Majority of the moves in Bayo are useless. Plus I just died off some random QTE in the middle of the stage
